Santa Fe Bite’s iconic green chile cheeseburger is unchanged since 1953! It starts with a huge, 10 ounce patty of fresh-ground custom blend chuck and sirloin, and it’s topped with melty Swiss-American cheese, chopped local Hatch green chiles, lettuce, and tomato and served on a fresh-baked garlic butter toasted brioche bun. Originally founded on historic route 66 in 1953 as Bobcat Bite, the restaurant (and its signature burger) achieved renown far and wide before it was forced to relocate and change its name to Santa Fe Bite in 2013.
