Back in 1967, Ron Peskin was working at his uncle’s deli when he was offered the opportunity to purchase a struggling Los Angeles Jewish deli called Brent’s. By sheer coincidence, his young son’s name also happened to be Brent, so he took it as a sign and bought the deli.
